Coventry City poured more misery on Barnsley with a 4-3 win at the Ricoh Arena.
At a wet Ricoh Arena, City, who gave a home debut to Joe Cole, took the lead in the second minute when Ryan Kent created space on the left and curled a stunningshot past Adam Davies.
In the 17th minute, City had a second goal when Adam Armstrong scored from twelve yards following a cut back from Aaron Phillips.
Barnsley pulled a goal back through Alfie Mawson following a 48th minute corner.
City attacked and set Adam Armstrong away to make it 3-1 in the 51st minute but two minutes later, that lead was cut when Josh Scowen bundled home.
In the 58th minute, City had a fourth and it was a free kick which was superbly fired home by Joe Cole who was promptly replaced by Jacob Murphy in front of a crowd of just under 11,000.
Former City striker Simeon Jackson made a late cameo role and he helped his side win a penalty with Scowen converted and reduced City's win to 4-3.
