Coventry City failed to entertain the 150 City supporters at the Liberty Stadium but took a useful point from their Tuesday night trip to South Wales.
With hardly any traffic on the roads, we joined the City support including a good number from South Wales, plus Kent, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Cambridgeshire, Coventry and Warwickshire, in the corner next to the Main Stand.
We saw a sky blue kit wearing City team that packed the midfield with Carl Baker starting and had Leon Best as a loan striker.
On a night that got colder as the night went on (not helped by being forced to sit down by the stewards), City kicked towards where we were in the first half against a Swansea side who went into the game fourth in the table and one which did the vast majority of attacking.
As a steward was telling off a City supporter for taking a drink from a hip flask, Keiren Westwood at the other end made a good tenth minute save with his feet.
In the eighteenth minute, the sturdy City defence was breached for the first time when Darren Pratley struck a post.
Now, whilst, Coventry were sticking to Chris Coleman's game plan of defend, defend, defend, there is more to football than preventing your opponents from scoring and worryingly they failed to really threaten the Swansea goal.
David Bell, had City's first real chance in the 20th minute when he drove wide and then to the chants of "Super Sammy Clingan", the Ulsterman curled a 23rd minute free kick just wide of Dorus de Vries right hand post.
But chants of "Come On City" failed to spark the Sky Blues to attack a team that had a dodgy keeper and who looked there for the taking and it was no surprise that the first half finished without a goal.
At the break, Leon Barnett made what could be his last appearance for City when he replaced James McPake.
In the stand to our left, the home season ticket holders were getting increasingly annoyed with the stewards, who were responding to announcements to make them sit down. In the 56th minute, an ejection sparked a fight, which saw one steward getting hit. Supporters raced to join in before things calmed down with the Swansea season ticket holders making their feelings known by chanting: "You'll Never Make Us Sit Down"
City who had brought on Gary Deegan for Carl Baker continued to defend when required and the midfield worked well, although there was no width to get the ball forward.
Pratley and Orlandi had the better of the chances whilst Michael McIndoe incurred jeers from some of the City fans when the yellow booted winger wasted good chances in the 78th and 84th minutes.
He wasn't the only player abused as the Swans fans tore a strip off new signing Shefki "fatboy" Kuqi when he came on for Nathan Dyer, who had been a threat.
A great tackle from Barnett denied another Swans substitute Lee Trundle but two minutes from time, all the City supporters felt they had conceded a penalty when Martin Cranie took down Pratley.
Thankfully, referee Mr McDermid who had a good game, said we were wrong and gave The Swans a corner instead and City survived to take a point.
