Coventry City played Joe Cole but are still looking for their first ever win at Rochdale after a 0-0 draw.
With Joe Cole starting for the Sky Blues, City had two good chances through Adam Armstrong before Cole fired wide in the sixteenth minute.
Rochdale had plenty of the ball with Charles-Cook being kept busy by the likes of Lund and and Camps in a first half where the City support became increasingly frustrated with the referee and some of his decisions.
Armstrong set up Cole for a 40th minute shot which flew past the far post but yet again there were no goals at half time.
The Cole show ended in the 57th minute when he was replaced by Ryan Kent, who was one of three substitutes used by Tony Mowbray in a bid to try and get the Sky Blues a goal, which is something which has been in short supply of late.
With neither side able to break the deadlock, the match finished in a 0-0 draw to give Reice Charles-Cook, his fourth cleansheet in front of a crowd of 4,295.
