City Supporters.
The Sellotape School End top tier was pretty full with about a thousand City fans. The support was noisy and saw a good turn out of those based in the capital and visitors from San Francisco and Australia, as well as a travelling band from Coventry and Warwickshire.

I do like Loftus Road. It's a tight compact stadium which means you are virtually on the pitch no matter where you sit. Easy to get to when the traffic is flowing.

Coventry City are up to fifth in the table after a late 2-1 win at Queens Park Rangers.

Iain Dowie against his former club, made only one change from the team that had beaten Stoke with Dele Adebola coming in for the injured Robbie Simpson.

The first half against Luigi's Di Canio side which included Scott Sinclair, signed in the afternoon on loan from Chelsea, was a tight affair.

City kicked off, bizarrely playing the ball straight into touch. If this was a poor pass then it set the tone early on. The Sky Blues enjoyed most of the ball but didn't create much until their first corner in the 13th minute.

Both sides won corners before the home side had Martin Crainey limp off in the 18th minute.

Another corner saw Jay Tabb flick at Lee Camp who was in goal for Derby in the final game at Highfield Road.

David McNamee had kept Sinclair pretty quiet but in the 26th minute, the loanee fired across the face of the goal and was awarded by referee Mr Bates a corner which Dimi caught.

Dele Adebola who played on the right, forced Camp into a 29th minute block for a throw and got in a header when McNamee's cross came in.

Now, the QPR fans in the corner block of the stand to our right, had received a bit of good natured banter but in the 39th minute, a fight broke out. It took five stewards to eject one of those brawling and got a chorus of "We've got more fans than you" from the mocking City support.

That for me was the last I can really remember of the game until the last five minutes of the match. I suffered two big fits during the second half was told that I was in the toilet when Mifsud scored.

Thankfully,Steve took over the notes on the game and reported that QPR took the lead in the 49th minute when Alex Buzsaky was allowed space to get in a twenty yard shot which took a deflection and flew into the net with Dimi completely flat footed.

Attacking the end where the City supporters were housed, the Sky Blues were level on the hour mark.

Adebola made the most of a defensive error and played the ball out to Michael Mifsud on the left. The scorer of two goals against Stoke on Saturday, rounded Camp who got a hand to it but could not stop the ball going into the net and the City support going mental.

Coventry were the more pressing, trying to play in Mifsud as much as possible. One Doyle ball over the right back was just too far for Mifsud to chase down.

When City played the ball to feet, they easily exposed the home side's defence but some poor control let City down when it counted.

City had claims for a penalty when Best was clearly seen to be held in the penalty area. However,Mr Bates saw nothing.

In the 74th minute,Kevin Kyle got a massive cheer when he replaced Leon Best.

The Scot got an elbow to the chest within ten seconds of coming on.

Kyle eventually recovered and with his fifth touch banged in the winner two minutes into stoppage time.

For the third game running, Isaac Osbourne was involved in the goal. Yet again, another superbly flighted ball by last season Young Player Of The Year found Kevin Kyle four yards out. The Scot was in exactly the right place to power an unstoppable header into the top of the net.

The City fans went mental as did the City players.

When the game restarted, David McNamee limped off with a hamstring injury and seconds later, the final whistle brought a third consecutive win at Loftus Road.
