Coventry City Ladies Reserves 2-1 Middlesbrough by Kev Monks
Coventry City Ladies Reserves finished third in the FA WPL Reserve Section Division Two North with a 2-1 victory over Middlesbrough.
In a rearranged game at Coventry University, the Sky Blues were ahead after 44 seconds when a long punt forward by Steph Samuels was punted forward for Ria Baker who drew out the keeper and squared to give Rachel Smith a tap in.
Middlesbrough equalised three minutes later when Lynsey Rea controlled the ball before delightfully floating a shot into the roof of the net from the edge of the area.
Back came City and good work from Rachel Smith on the left played in Michelle Archer who slipped the ball into the net from six yards.
The rest of the game was limited to a handful of chances with the best coming five minutes from time when Boro custodian Rachel Hine superbly pushed over a Lynsey Bryenton free kick.
